We are trying something new this Month. Once a month we're going to celebrate us. Because who will if we don't??
Early this month, after all of the holiday hustle and bustle was behind us, we got out of our houses, left the shop unattended, and ate everything we pleased at K-Town Indy. We chose to all do hot pot, and I will say for myself at least, I was unprepared about what all you can eat hot pot really meant. I mean I had an idea. But BRO! The amount of meat, veggies, noodles, sides and ICE CREAM?? I ate that night is shameful. It was delicious though and i recommend it to anyone who wants to have fun and eat good food.

We ordered so many fun meats that we wouldn't normally get to try like crawfish, quail eggs, frog's legs and lamb. Everything was a winner, but in the interest of full disclosure, you do have to cook it yourself. Debby did not get this memo from me even though I mentioned it a few times. 🤣🤣 She was a great sport though, and I think she liked everything except the frog's legs. They DO taste like chicken but like the stringy parts of the chicken that are on the inside parts of a wing?

We also had a small gift exchange, and every single gift was perfect. It was a white elephant exchange, and we left it to everyone to interpret what that meant. They all took their jobs seriously and got the best gifts. Tera, who helps put tracking bracelets on owls, got an owl figurine! Karen tried to steal this hand crab (?) and failed. But the best gift was time with my crew. I don't care how corny that is, it's true. This is a stellar team, and I know it won't last long- people will leave me for full time jobs, or move on to owl care, and I'll have to rebuild a team that I will love all over again. But just now- I am content.
